ADHD Coaching and Therapy for Adults

Your brain moves fast – always thinking, connecting, creating. You see possibilities others miss. But while your mind races ahead, daily life doesn’t always keep up. Deadlines slip by. Piles grow. The harder you try to stay on top of everything, the more overwhelmed you get. And the less confident you feel.

For many adults with Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) – or those who are autistic and also have ADHD (AuDHD) – simple things can take enormous effort. It’s not for lack of motivation or intelligence. It’s because your brain works differently. And when you add old patterns or leftover feelings from a difficult childhood, things can feel heavier, shaking your confidence even more.

You might be dealing with:

  • Focus and concentration that comes and goes
  • Impulsiveness or difficulty relaxing
  • Time management struggles
  • Trouble planning, prioritizing, or following through
  • Disorganization
  • Indecision or analysis paralysis
  • Procrastination and missed deadlines
  • Overwhelm and stress
  • Communication and relationship difficulties
  • Sensory sensitivities or feeling easily overloaded
  • Difficulty adapting when plans or routines change

All of this can make life feel chaotic, leaving you frustrated, stuck, and unsure where to start. Especially when you know what you want to do but can’t seem to make it happen. The good news is that with coaching or therapy, we can find solutions that fit who you are. You’ll spend less time stuck and more time living the life you’ve been trying to create.

I get it – because I live it.

I’m Beth Main, a board certified coach (BCC) and professional counselor licensed in Pennsylvania (LPC) and Maine (LCPC). I help neurodivergent adults create practical strategies that fit how their brain works. Because progress happens when you stop forcing yourself to work like everyone else, and start working with your brain instead of against it.

I have ADHD myself. So I know what it’s like to live with a brain that doesn’t always follow the script. That’s one reason I’m so passionate about this work: I truly understand where you’re coming from. As one client put it:

“Beth has a very calming ‘we’re in this together as a team’ approach. She’s a great listener, challenges your thinking, and helps you see things from new perspectives. Her suggestions and strategies are incredibly helpful.”

Imagine a life that feels less chaotic.

Whether your goals are personal, professional, or academic, we’ll work together so you can:

  • Get clear on what you want
  • Build on your strengths
  • Create a plan that makes sense for you
  • Set up the right structure so you can follow through
  • Focus on what matters most — and ultimately, feel better about yourself

You don’t have to “just try harder.” You need the right tools, support, and understanding.

Coaching and counseling sessions are available by secure video, telephone, or at my office in Phillips, Maine.
